Cartographic and Other Research Services

Cartography • Document Retrieval • On-Site Investigations • Project Reports

Littlefield Historical Research not only provides clients with historical expertise, but when projects involve cartographic or other visual research aspects, we also work closely with MapMakers.com, a full service cartographic and geographic information systems (GIS) firm that has operated for over 30 years. Its two principals are Dr. Cherie Northon and Dr. Thomas Eley. Dr. Northon’s primary areas of expertise include historical map “deconstruction” and comparison to modern maps and imagery, analysis of environmental issues, and preparation of maps and reports for legal and other venues. Dr. Thomas Eley’s recent projects include a GIS needs analysis for an Alaska Native corporation, and he is currently completing over 100 web-based maps for an on-line “green” atlas production.

MapMakers.com has provided Littlefield Historical Research with cartographic expertise for over twenty-five years with MapMakers.com’s maps appearing in multiple courtroom exhibits and reports.
